is a global campaign that brings the fight against gender-based violence to the world’s highest mountains. By climbing the Seven Summits—the tallest peak on every continent—we raise awareness, amplify survivor voices, and bring together advocates and organizations into a growing coalition.
WIPW is built on seven tenets – seven pillars from which each climb and campaign of Survivors to Summits stems.
No one climbs—or heals—alone.
Each summit fuels campaigns that move resources, attention, and people toward ending gender-based violence.
Systems and individuals must be called to change.
From mountains to movements, we prioritize survivor-centered practices.
Collective action drives lasting transformation.
We climb and organize with survivor safety at the core.
We prioritize listening first—learning from those closest to the issues—to ensure solutions are grounded in lived experience, culturally informed, and impactful. This means that we engage directly with survivor leaders and grassroots changemakers across the globe to understand the challenges they face, the gaps in support, and the strategies that actually work. These conversations inform our approach, our campaigns, and the design of the systems that will ultimately support survivors worldwide.
Building on what we learn in Step 1, each climb draws global attention to gender-based violence while spotlighting local organizations leading the work on that continent. Through media coverage, survivor storytelling, and fundraising, these climbs amplify voices, mobilize resources, and highlight the solutions already being implemented on the ground. Every summit becomes a symbolic and literal amplification—showing that the impact of survivors and grassroots leaders is as high-reaching as these peaks.
The insights from Step 1 and the awareness generated in Step 2 form the foundation of our survivor-informed Global Digital Hub. Organizations highlighted through our climbing campaigns—those leading the work on each continent—are invited to help shape the Hub as beta users, ensuring it meets real needs on the ground. The platform will offer resources, networks, and tools designed with their input, creating a space for collaboration, capacity-building, and scalable solutions. By turning listening, learning, and amplification into collective action, the hub becomes a living ecosystem where survivors and changemakers co-create solutions, share knowledge, and connect globally to fight gender-based violence together.
From the highest peaks to the deepest connections,
Survivors to Summits is how we get there.
By the time the final summit is reached, we will have...
